About Me

Hello I'm Dhruv*
*Pronounced like Groove with a D*

I'm a Professional Coach, Entrepreneur and proud ADHDer.
I was born just over 30 years ago into a tight knit Indian family of doctors and engineers, and from day 1, I have been nothing but a disrupter. I got into fights at school, always struggled making friends, and ALWAYS wanted to do the opposite of what I as told. Despite the continual debauchery I unleashed onto the world and those around me, I also had some great qualities - kind, caring, funny and a great dancer.

I loved being in the kitchen with the aunties, while my friends played football, and enjoyed the company of the uncles as they complained about the umpire during cricket season. Perhaps, I wasn't aware of it at the time, but I was always drawn to the real stories of human existence and always gravitated to the signs of vulnerability from those around me. From a young age, I had a thirst for belonging, in my friends, personal identity, and places that reminded me of home. This desire, was so strong, that it has subsequently shaped the rest of my life, attracting opportunities that I could shape and sculpt into ways for me to facilitate belonging for others.

I've done this through creating and running various successful ventures such as running my own multisite boutique restaurant group dedicated to raising awareness of regional Indian Cuisine. Other initiatives I have led included starting a UK based boutique perfumery brand dedicated to sharing POC experiences through fine fragrance, and running a property management service supporting South Asian investors across the country. I've been incredibly fortunate to receive many accolades and awards for my ventures, being featured in hundreds of print and press articles, live TV appearances, documentaries, and in CODE Hospitality's 2019 '30 under 30'.
Alongside running businesses, I have always felt a strong desire and urge to support others around me to succeed and live out their dreams. I started consulting for start-ups and solopreneurs in 2020, and the experiences enabled me to witness individuals and their businesses grow and thrive during our work together. That feeling of being part of someone else's success, and witnessing their transformation unfold in front of your eyes, was and still is the purest, lightest, fullest, warming feeling that I have ever felt. Following the Covid-19 pandemic which led to the closure of my restaurant group, I decided to pivot my life towards directly supporting those who are looking to change their life through personal or professional journeys, and embark on a life-long adventure of learning and vulnerability.

I discovered coaching in 2022, where I completed an ICF accredited Diploma in Professional Coaching Practice and a Certificate in Executive Coaching with Full Circle Global, led by Master Coach Gillian McMichael. My passion for transformative work (to help people navigate significant shifts in their life) led me to undertake trainings and retreats with world-leading coaches, finish my Masters in Psychology, complete counselling training with Metanoia Institute, and undertake in-depth research in the field of psychological interventions and wellbeing maintenance.
These invaluable steps and experiences have led me to a position where I'm proud to be a Professional Life Coach, and can dedicate my life supporting individuals and entrepreneurs to dream, build a resilient mindset, and face life challenges with ease and grace.
